Survivor Makes Me Smile :)

Survivor is back for the 26th season! Who's excited! Just me? Ok... No but seriously, I'm so happy. This is the only reality show that I can stand to watch. The other ones make me want to puke up all of my remaining brain cells, and no I don't want to "Keep up With The Kardashians", it's their business what they do...and who they do...besides they obviously aren't even real. I'm going with Tina Fey's opinion, that they are just manufactured by the Russians to make all the normal girls feel like crap about their naturally beautiful looks. Or something like that. Stupid Kim or Kate or Karli or Khloe or Kylie or Kourtney or whatever. Half those names are the incorrect spelling anyways! If you are going to name your children all the same letter, at least pick one that can be used for as many children as you are having! Idiots. So anyways, back to Survivor. I sure can rant for a long time. And believe me, I could have gone for so much longer. 26th season! Yay! This one is set in the Caramoan Islands which, just like the other 25 locations, is beautiful. It would be worth going on Survivor just for a cool vacation to an exotic place! And for the chance to win an ass load of money of course. This season is the second Fans vs. Favorites season, and here they are:

The top ten (GOTA) are the fans. They are apparently some sort of superfans or something, who think they can beat the experienced people who have done this before. I will enjoy watching them go up in flames. Which rings me to the next ten (BIKAL) who are the favorites. The ones I know are, um, sort of favorites I guess. Brandon is the very religious nephew of the most hated man in all of survivor history, Russell. Not a favorite. Brenda is from  few seasons ago, she tried to flirt her way to the top, and as a fellow gorgeous girl, I can relate. Still not a favorite. Andrea I don't even really remember, she is some sort of strategist which almost got voted off first. She's OK. Cochran, now we're getting somewhere. He is my all-time favorite, and not just because he is hilarious. For some reason, my family immediately pegged him as my brother Max. Maybe it's the awkwardness, or the translucent skin, or maybe the stupid humor. He is definitely a favorite. Phillip is a crazy guy from a few seasons ago who had this feud with Francesca, who got voted off first then and now too. I don't really get how she can be a favorite in one episode, but whatever. Not favorites. I don't remember Erik, Dawn, or Corinne at all so I'm not going to judge them. Yet. Malcolm is cool, he was in the last season and I liked him. I would say he's a favorite. I'm not sure about any of the fans yet, but they will definitely have their work cut out for them. Good luck, and know that somewhere I will be in front of a screen laughing and smiling :)

Corny Movies Make Me Smile :)

Right now, I'm watching The Game Plan on Disney Channel. It is one of the cheesiest movies I've ever seen, which is why I love it so much. If you don't already know, I'm going to tell you what it's about. If you do know, I'm still going to tell you. Basically, this all star football quarterback, Joe King, has it made. He is living the good life, he gets all the money, all the babes, all the trophies. Until. One day, a young girl shows up at his door claiming she's his daughter. Sound corny yet? Her name is Peyton Kelly, and she makes everything very... interesting. From bedazzling Joe's football to forcing him to participate in her dance class, Joe has his hands full. Not only that, but his big playoff game is coming up soon and he is way too preoccupied with Peyton to focus on it. Poor Joe. There is no way anyone is going to know what happens next, right? Ok, well this is why it is super cheesy. It is really just a typical Disney movie where everyone knows what will happen but they still get all emotional at the end.

This kind of says it all, doesn't it? Quality film right here. So back to the emotional part. I don't know if this is true, but I think that I personally feel the emotion because of the music they play. They have this inspiring stuff in the background that make the whole thing a bit less socially awkward. Honestly, if half these things happened in real life or even just without the music, it would be a lot different. But I still feel myself smiling that cute little "Aww, it all worked out for everyone!" smile. In true hope that this isn't just me and other people feel this too, keep on corny smiling :)

Blankets Make Me Smile :)

Curling up in a nice, warm, fuzzy blanket is all a girl can really ask for. Well, actually, I can think of several other things to ask for, but that's beside the point. What I'm really trying to get at is how awesome a nice, huge, warm, fuzzy blanket is after a long day at school. And every day at school is a long day. For Christmas, I got a green blanket that feels like it was made by the gods. Also the goddesses, I'm not being sexist here. My grandparents gave me the blanket, and there has not been a single day since Christmas I have not worn it. Honestly, it is the most comfortable banket ever, and I don;'t think this picture does it justice, but here it is anyways:

This is my blanket...

Like I said, doesn't really look that great. But it is, trust me! It is the most amazing thing ever, and I smile every time I wear it, even after the hardest of days. It's great in the mornings, when it's cold and I'm tired. It's great in the middle of the day, when nothing is really going on and I have nothing better to do. It's great in the evenings which, just like the mornings, it's cold and I'm tired. I don't know exactly where my Nana and Poppy got this particular piece of heaven, but here is a link to a website all about blankets. Seriously, it's called blankets.com and I've been on it for pretty much the whole week. Even though I didn't know I would write this post about blankets until today. That is actually kind of what reminded me of my blanket, which reminded me about my blog, which reminded me that I had to do it tonight, so I thought I would share it with you. Hope it makes you smile :)

Chicken Parmesan Makes Me Smile :)

Tell me in complete honesty, is there anything better than the taste of chicken parmesan? No, hang on, do not answer, I already know what you're going to say. Absolutely not. There is nothing in the world better than the taste of melted cheese, tender chicken, and soft pasta. Ugg. Sorry, I'm just a little busy being in heaven right now. Because, if you didn't already guess, I had chicken parmesan for dinner tonight. Which I'm pretty sure you did guess, but either way, now you know. So, you are welcome. If you want to have your own chicken parmesan, here is the awesome recipe my dad used to make it, with a few tweaks of his own of course. Which only succeeded in making it more deliciously mouth watering. In case you want to feel really hungry, here is a picture of my delicious chicken parmesan on a bed of wonderfully cooked pasta:

Yum, right? And believe me when I say this, it was SO yum. I almost forgot to take a picture of it before eating it, thank god I did! Even though it doesn't look as good as it does in real life, I'm assuming that everyone knows how bad the camera can make things - or people - look. I mean, everyone has had their picture taken and wondered why they look like a dying animal, right? Just me? Well ok. So anyways, the only bad part about chicken parmesan is that it takes so long to make it! It decides to fill the house with it's delicious smell for at least half an hour before it's even edible. However, it is so totally and absolutely worth the wait. If there is anything that i will wait an entire half an hour for, it's chicken parmesan. Or maybe pizza. Let's just settle on food in general. So, no matter how long you have to wait, when you get your chicken parmesan I hope you eat it up with a big smile :)

Tourists Makes Me Smile :)

The tourists are coming, the tourists are coming! In fact, they have already come. On the bus ride home from school today I saw countless fur coat, red lanyard, huge sunglass wearing people flooding the streets of Park City. Of course, lots of jokes were made about their pursed lips and huge stilettos, but the most fun was when we decided to actually tell them what we thought. Unfortunately, this thought came around a little late, so only a few tourists were in sight. We gave the job of their humiliation to Nathaniel. Not a good choice. When we neared these two tourists, although there were so many other ways to make fun of them, he chose to say "I don't like your pants." Like, really? That's the best you can do?

Well, anyways, just about half an hour ago I had another run in with some tourists. One was from Michigan, the other from Ohio. The funny thing is that both these men were wearing women's ski gear. The one from Ohio was wearing a scarf. Not even the manly kind! It was kind of embarrassing, but hey, whatever floats your boat. They actually proved to be not that bad, which made me happy because we were all waiting for the city bus, which wouldn't be there for another 20 minutes. I found out that Michigan was here for some promotional thing for his company, who are apparently giving out free veggie burgers and hot cocoa on Main Street. Maybe I'll go sometime. Basically, these two guys have sort of made me like tourists.
This is a picture from the movie Daniel Radcliffe is in, Kill Your Darlings.

I always hope that I might see a celebrity tourist on the bus too, but so far no such luck. I've been especially hopeful lately because Daniel Radcliffe is here this year for Sundance. Oddly enough, I just wrote a post about him about two back saying how much I liked him. And now he's here! I'm pretty sure that it is a sign that I am destined to meet the chosen one. Back on topic, I really doubt that Harry Potter would take the city bus anyways because he could just fly his broom. Not that anyone would notice, because we're all just muggles. Maybe I don't smile at tourists just because they look stupid, but also because they're nice. Or the boy who lived. Either way, go out, mingle, meet some tourists, and of course smile :)

Fat Booth Makes Me Smile :)

Fat Booth. An app that provides hours and hours of instant entertainment, no matter where you are. That's right, it is one of those great things that you don't even need internet for, yet will still be incredibly fantastically amazingly awesome to play every time. And for some strange reason, no matter how many weird pictures I take of myself on it, my friend Caitlin always has more. I honestly don't know how she does it, because it s my phone. But, I did almost catch up recently when I was on a plane home from New Hampshire. For a good half hour I fatted myself, just normal fatting and putting the eyes/mouth/chin things in random places on my face. Here's a nice picture of me with random lumps all over my face as a result of the latter:
Pretty attractive, huh?
If you were hoping to see a fat booth of Caitlin as well, you are out of luck. It took me so long just to get this off of my phone, and I am absolutely not doing it again. If you want, though, you can check out Caitlin's blog here. I guarantee it will make you smile. So anyways, back to fat booth. Not only is it fun and awesome because it doesn't need internet, but it also will show anyone whether or not they look good fat. Or with gross tumors all over their faces. Which is exactly what everybody wants to know about themselves, am I right? I use it to keep track of a lot of my friends and family, too. Recently I added my cousins' pictures to the mix, and they can rock facial tumors and fatness almost as well as I can. I guess that makes sense because we are related. Until next time, fat yourself (but not for real) and keep on smiling :)

Daniel Radcliffe/Harry Potter/The Boy Who Lived/The Chosen One Makes Me Smile :)

Harry Potter. The boy who lived. The chosen one. Daniel Radcliffe. Do any of those names/titles mean anything to you? Unless you have been under a rock for about twelve years, then they absolutely should. These are all the titles and names of a boy who is practically a legend to our generation and will live on in our hearts forever. Or, at least, my heart and millions of other people's hearts who are my age. Seriously, this is what my childhood was based off of. Birthday parties, barbie games, dress up, all Harry Potter themes. Plus, accents. Those are awesome. OK, back on topic, here's something you should know about Harry:

This is where Harry, Ron, and Hermione go to school, find out more about it at pottermore.com

I really just had to add that because it included ermagerd, which is incredible. Not only is Harry Potter awesome and known by everybody in the whole world and has been since he was 11 years old, but the actor who plays him, Daniel Radcliffe, is pretty awesome too. It's weird to see quotes from him now because he is so old, but I found a few for you. It wasn't hard, because he has so many amazing outlooks and insights about life. He just know so much about everything. You're probably wondering what some of these things are. I had to narrow it down, because believe me there were a ton. So anyways, here is what Daniel Radcliffe thinks about little kids:

I really just love this!
Now do you believe that Daniel Radcliffe is superior to everyone? And don't worry, the middle finger he was giving the camera was just bad timing ;) But really, isn't he great? I mean, a drunk tiny best friend? That is gold, Daniel, gold. And he's right, kids are so much more fun than adults. Seriously, when is the last time an adult friend has asked you to go play at the park or play pin the tail on the donkey? Pure genius. Here is another instance in which what goes through his head is just so much better than what goes through anyone else's head:

Just for the record, this is exactly what I would have done.

Let's go over what we have learned, shall we? OK, so not only is Daniel Radcliffe a multi-millionaire, and plays Harry Potter who is the coolest kid ever in the coolest movies ever, but he's also hilarious! Am I right? He is one of the many celebrities that I just wish more than anything were my best friends! Such a cool kid. And funny. And rich. And magical. Really, the list goes on and on, which just proves his awesomeness. He makes me smile, and I hope he makes you smile too :)
