Daniel Radcliffe/Harry Potter/The Boy Who Lived/The Chosen One Makes Me Smile :)

Harry Potter. The boy who lived. The chosen one. Daniel Radcliffe. Do any of those names/titles mean anything to you? Unless you have been under a rock for about twelve years, then they absolutely should. These are all the titles and names of a boy who is practically a legend to our generation and will live on in our hearts forever. Or, at least, my heart and millions of other people's hearts who are my age. Seriously, this is what my childhood was based off of. Birthday parties, barbie games, dress up, all Harry Potter themes. Plus, accents. Those are awesome. OK, back on topic, here's something you should know about Harry:

This is where Harry, Ron, and Hermione go to school, find out more about it at pottermore.com

I really just had to add that because it included ermagerd, which is incredible. Not only is Harry Potter awesome and known by everybody in the whole world and has been since he was 11 years old, but the actor who plays him, Daniel Radcliffe, is pretty awesome too. It's weird to see quotes from him now because he is so old, but I found a few for you. It wasn't hard, because he has so many amazing outlooks and insights about life. He just know so much about everything. You're probably wondering what some of these things are. I had to narrow it down, because believe me there were a ton. So anyways, here is what Daniel Radcliffe thinks about little kids:

I really just love this!
Now do you believe that Daniel Radcliffe is superior to everyone? And don't worry, the middle finger he was giving the camera was just bad timing ;) But really, isn't he great? I mean, a drunk tiny best friend? That is gold, Daniel, gold. And he's right, kids are so much more fun than adults. Seriously, when is the last time an adult friend has asked you to go play at the park or play pin the tail on the donkey? Pure genius. Here is another instance in which what goes through his head is just so much better than what goes through anyone else's head:

Just for the record, this is exactly what I would have done.

Let's go over what we have learned, shall we? OK, so not only is Daniel Radcliffe a multi-millionaire, and plays Harry Potter who is the coolest kid ever in the coolest movies ever, but he's also hilarious! Am I right? He is one of the many celebrities that I just wish more than anything were my best friends! Such a cool kid. And funny. And rich. And magical. Really, the list goes on and on, which just proves his awesomeness. He makes me smile, and I hope he makes you smile too :)

My Friends make Me Smile :)

I obviously can't talk about every single one of my friends, so I will most likely eventually be coming out with a part two or three on this particular topic. But for now, I want to talk about a friend who has been asking for a while to be on my blog, and that is (drumroll please...) Katherine! Here is a link to her blog, Sweet Temptations. For a while now, Katherine and I have been working on a Spanish project with our group. We are doing the tango, and what do you know-Katherine and I are doing it together. Maybe I'll show you a picture later, but I don't really have one now...but here is an awesome picture of Katherine and I just regularly (sort of):

I am on the left, she is on the right.
Ah yes, so flattering. Haha I am totally kidding, it really showcases her pointy nose and my awkward neck-chin mutation. This is definitely one of our best pictures though, I mean, just look at our faces! Can you say photogenic?
So anyways, I'm not sure if you can see it in this picture, but Katherine has a small scar above her eye. Yeah, I gave that to her. Don't worry, it was when I was younger. I guess I had a bit of a temper as a child. Poor Katherine, hardly something to do to her after her dad saved my life. That's right, her dad saved my life and what did I do? I scratched her in the eyelid. Look out everyone, friend of the year right here! Oh yeah, back to how my life was saved. I don't really remember much of it, only what I've heard from Katherine. Apparently, I was with her and her dad when this dog jumped at me out of nowhere! It started to bite my cheek, but before any permanent damage was done, her amazing incredible life-saving father pulled us apart. Now I clearly remember this-when I went home that day I told my mom very clearly "You should have seen the other guy". Ok, I'm absolutely sure that didn't happen. But how cool would that be?
So overall, Katherine has a pointy nose and a scarred eyelid and I have a neck-chin mutation and a boss childhood. Sort of. Maybe part of that is true, or at least I think so. Until my next post, keep on smiling! :)

Blizzards Make Me Smile :)

Today, we had our first big snowstorm of the year. It was awesome!!!! Here in Park City, the first big snow of the year is such a big occasion, we get the day off school! Just kidding...but that would be so cool! Anyways, it is still an important event, and it is really fun to look at through the small windows of our school. However, we got a special up close and personal look at the snow when we were forced to walk through it all the way to the high school. Which is roughly...not even a mile. It still felt like a long time, and the snow made it a bit better. Or a bit worse, depending on the way you look at it. I couldn't get a good picture of our snow, so here is another one:
This is from Kim Boomershine's blog, visit it here
Ahh, doesn't that look just incredible? It is basically what ours looked like, except ours just kept on coming and in this picture snow is at a stopping point. But still, it is an awesome photo, so props to Kim. The best part about the snow is the dramatic effect it gives. It can honestly make just walking or jogging (in slow mo, mind you) around twenty times more intense. If I were ever to film a movie, it would have to have at least one scene where the main character runs dramatically through the snow. In slow motion. Of course, the slow mo is a must. Back to the snow itself, I would just like to point out that snow makes the cold worth while. If it was just cold out, then there's no point in being outside or even having cold. However, if it's snowing, the cold is all OK. Without further ado, I say to you go enjoy the snow! And don't forget to smile! :)

Secretly Wearing Fuzzy Socks to School Makes Me Smile :)

Unless I'm wearing my Uggs, which don't fit me anymore and have fake blood all over them, my shoes are not comfortable. My escape from that horrible prison cell of a shoe is fuzzy socks. I will always go to the comfort of fuzzy socks on a bad day, or especially on a good day. Usually, when I wake up at six am for school, and my feet are sticking out of my comforter because I'm such a restless sleeper, my poor toes are dying of hypothermia. Fortunately for me, I have a nice drawer full of fuzzy socks and usually a couple pairs lying around the room. Just for kicks, here is a sneak peak of me wearing my favorite fuzzy socks:
Photo Courtesy Of: Me, with a cabinet in my room as a backdrop. Classy stuff!
As you can quite obviously see, these particular socks are very tasteful. Especially seeing as they are bright red and green, and it's only October... But, being as smart as I am, I figured out how to hide the socks under my jeans and boots. Hense the "secretly" part of the title of this post. It may seem crazy, but sometimes I just can't believe how smart I am. About socks. Hidden under jeans. And not much else. But still, smart!
What makes me really smile about this, though, is that nobody knows that I am wearing these socks, unless I told them. Sharing those secret smiles down the hallway to those people who do know is priceless. Especially when they know that I'm wearing fuzzy socks, and I know that they are. It is the same warm fuzzy feeling on my feet as theirs, which makes it better for the both of us. Okay, I'll admit, maybe some people share the same genius as I do.Who knows why, but those super secret socks just always make he smile. :)

Other Blogs Make Me Smile :)

I came across a few awesome blogs on my quest for the perfect topic. After my long search, I decided that the most fun and entertaining blogs to read were the ones about things people liked and hated. Being me, I figured that I would rather write about things I like. So, here I am with my first post, about other blogs. Because that is the first thing that makes me smile, just reading about other people's experiences.

The first blog I saw was called Let's Overthink This. This was also my favorite blog, mostly because of the title and tagline. The tagline is a quote, "In the name of God, stop a moment, cease your work, look around you" -Leo Tolstoy. I love this quote because it makes me think about all of the things that we miss because we are looking at or doing something else. Don't you hate how a friend or family member will interrupt you and say "Oh, wow, you just missed the coolest thing!" It may not show on the outside, but I am always wondering just how cool was the thing that I missed or how many inside jokes I would be missing out on because I didn't see it. But, enough on that, the point is that this blog made me smile.

After a lot more searching, I found another blog that fit my topic. It is called Holiday Matinee, and is by Dave. My favorite part about this blog are the pictures. All of their posts have a picture that perfectly fit their topic, or at least all of the ones I have seen. I hope that I can find cool pictures to put into my blog posts, but that might start next time. It is a process, blogging, and I just hope I can get up to speed on it!

The last blog I found was called Tiny Buddha. The author, Lori Deschene, perfectly captured what I want my blog to be about in one of her posts. She wrote about 50 things to love about life that are free. All of my blog posts may not necessarily be about free things, but they will be about things I love. She talks about family, friends, and just all around great stuff. All of this stuff will be what my blog is about, because the things that I love are so important to me and because they are fun to talk about. So, now I proudly present to you my blog: Thing That Make Me Smile :)
